1. About these terms
These terms govern the purchase, collection, recycling and trading of scrap metal by Data Vision Tech Solutions Pvt Limited ("we", "us"). By requesting a quote or a collection you agree to them.
2. Quotations & pricing
Scrap metal prices move daily with the London Metal Exchange and depend on grade, cleanliness and quantity. Any price indication is an estimate only and is not binding until the material has been inspected, weighed and graded at the point of collection or delivery.
3. Weighing & grading
All material is weighed on auditable scales and graded according to its type, cleanliness and contamination. Our assessment of weight and grade, recorded on the weighbridge ticket, determines the final price paid.
4. Collections
Free collection is offered for qualifying loads across the West Midlands, and nationwide for bulk loads, at our discretion. You are responsible for providing safe access. Hazardous items must be declared in advance.
5. Ownership & legal title
By selling material to us you confirm you are the legal owner or are authorised to sell it, and that it is free from any charge or claim. You agree to provide identification as required under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013.
6. Payment
In accordance with the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 we do not pay in cash. Payment is made by bank transfer or cheque, by traceable means, with a clear payment statement following weighing and grading.
7. Duty of care & documentation
We are an Environment Agency registered upper-tier waste carrier. Each collection is accompanied by a waste transfer note and weighbridge ticket as evidence of compliant disposal under your duty of care.
8. Prohibited & hazardous items
We do not accept material we are not licensed to handle. Please declare batteries, sealed or pressurised vessels, and any potentially hazardous items so they can be handled safely and lawfully.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our liability in connection with any transaction is limited to the value of the material concerned.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
